  This is the problem the employee is having:  
 
 
 
I've been working for this company for 10 years and have enjoyed working there. However, in the past year or so, I have been the target of unwarranted verbal abuse by my supervisor. I have always followed company procedure and policy as I have been trained to do I believe I've been singled out for constructive termination of employment because of my belief in following policy as said by my employer. I have always been told that it is paramount to satisfy the needs and the desire of customers first as long as they are considered as reasonable. In doing this, I have always provided the best service I am capable of. For some reason, my supervisor has shown mistrust of my judgment and has confronted me in several occasions in an abusive manner without permitting me to explain why I did things the way I did. In these cases, I have not been able to come to an understanding of why he has treating me this way. I have discussed this with other senior members of staff and management and they have said they do not understand it either, but feel that he is trying to force me into leaving employment. I just would like to be able to do my job as required following the procedures that have been taught to me and not be subjected to aggressive verbal abuse (raised voice, derogatory comments, and insinuation) when there is a question about my course of action. I strongly believe it is really unnecessary to raise voice in a business environment. It solves nothing and it immediately undermines confidence and morale. I am under extreme stress and in a fearful to go into the workplace. I feel like I am walking on eggshells. I am asking for your assistance in this matter as this has been a recurring problem with myself and also others. I have always seen this company as being "employee friendly" and as so concerned about the welfare of its employees. I am sure you would agree it is important for an employer and an employee to be able to maintain civil open communication when confronted with issues in the workplace. I have tried to reason with this person and requested calmer communication and was harshly reprimanded for doing so. Since then, it seems he has developed a bias towards me and now it has become apparent this person sees thing I do through this bias frequently. He seems to be getting more and more upset as he uses these bullying tactics to find fault with my decisions while he did not question my judgment in the past. I would appreciate any input into a cordial way to resolve this difficult situation.
