I just found out that my husband as been having an affair with someone that I currently work with. He also works for the company, but I share an office with this person. I don't directly report to this person, but I do report to her best friend the Supervisor and the Manager.. They are all friends. She was given the option to be removed out of the office when everything came to light, but she refused to be moved. So, the two people that I report to also knew of the affair. What if any, are my recourses. How can I have both the Manager and Supervisor that I report to sit across from me and give me an evaluation and rate me on dignity and respect. They offered to remove me from the department to avoid being around all three of them. They also told me that I was not allowed to talk about the incident at work. Isn't this my "personal" business to discuss? They keep telling that this is a personal issue, yet I can't discuss my personal issue at work because it will create a hostile environment.
