This is the problem the employee is having:

Greetings all,

I have been working with this company for about 1.5 years. Things were relatively good until our secretary was threatened by other employees taking all of her duties. She did basic accounting and other things related.

She was very upset about this, so she confronted the owner and the GM. She basically yelled at them on how good of an employee she is and how long and hard she has worked for the company.

The company ended up moving to a new location due to high rent increases. We will call the lady (secretary) Jill.

Jill convinced that she should be the owner executive assistant, whatever that means.

The owner is never around the new place anymore, so Jill acts like she owns the place. She created her own working hours, and by doing this, she totally ignored the GM's mass-email stating everyone's hours. Jill just has her high school, same with the owner. Jill has no skills of any kind which would contribute to the company besides kissing the ass of the owner. She runs around bossing everyone around, and threatening to tell the owner anything about anyone that she sees fit. Basically she is the company rat. Whenever the owner is around, she throws herself at him to the point of making everyone feel sick to their stomachs.

No one trusts her, and everyone's morale is way down. Is there anything that can be done about this woman? My partner and I have engineering training, and she acts like she's above us. This whole situation makes me sick.

One time I asked her why she gets to do anything she wants, and she said “Because I’m my own boss".

Please let me know if there is anything I can do besides finding another job. The owner himself is the most ignorant man I have ever met. When ever he comes around, he totally ignores me and is friendly to everyone else. There is a lot of favoritism in my work environment, which is also another huge problem.

Thanks…..
