Hi,
I am experiencing trouble at work. My supervisor has been trying to bully me for months now, at first it was on a personal level - but now he is actively trying to make it impossible for me to do my work, and even try to make me look like a bad employee.
So I made a mistake: I went to the union representative asking for advice (not to make a complaint...just to ask if he had advice on how to deal with this)...I just want to do my job! My supervisor went to HR all worried that I was going to make a complaint, which is actually interesting in itself. But anyway, here is where is gets even worse: I am going to be advised not to make a complaint and just to leave quietly. How did that happen? How does that end up being fair? What can I do about this?
I am pretty angry, because I can't seem to come to terms with the fact that not only am I being treated horribly, but I can't do anything about it. And even worse, this person is going to get away with ruining a young person's career. After all, if I speak out, I lose...If I don't speak out, I lose...This is so depressing.
FYI: I am a young female working in the engineering industry. |
