This is the original problem from an employee...
I have worked for 10 cons. years as a Math teacher. My principal just advised me that he's overstaffed with Math teachers so I would have to start teaching Language Arts. There were 10 math teachers in the dept. including myself. Four of the math teachers have been in the Math department less time than I have. I'm a member of the local Union teacher's union. Is this unethical and illegal for an administrator to have favoritism with his staff?

You would need to prove that it is favoritism. There are probably a lot of other factors in the decision that you arent seeing. Discuss it with them to see the other factors
