This is the original problem from an employee...
I have been employed by a hospital for almost 15 years working the evening shift, part time. I have applied for a transfer to to a day shift full time position doing the exact same job, but my manager has spoken poorly of me, (I have a good evaluation), to the manager of the day shift, so that my managers daughter, who hasn't even worked there one year, will get the position. human resources sent a short e-mail to both managers saying I put in a transfer for the position, & my manager sent a rude e-mail back to hr, but sent it to me instead. I have copies!

I'm not a lawyer I'm just a college student researching law and ethics. but I'm pretty sure if you filled a law suit u have a pretty solid case with the evidence. I'm sure u will win.

I have one advice that I can offer you, if you have the proof that he spoke badly about you, lodge a complaint with the relevant people and show them the e mail that was sent and explain why you wanted to move to day shift.
