This is the original problem from an employee...
In my office I work in an area where I sit between 2 other people. I serve as back-up for one of them when they are out of the office. I have situations where I have to research an issue by looking through their past emails (with supervisor knowledge of doing so). Today as I was searching for an email, on particular date, I unfortunately came across an email that caught my eye because the subject was in all caps "ANNOYING" and in flipping through the emails, I see my initials in the preview screen. My hands went numb as I realized that my 2 coworkers were talking about me. I quickly flipped the view to sort by who the emails were from, only to realize that my coworkers are constantly emailing each other about me. I got out of her email fast, wishing I had never come across them. Now I don't know what to do. I didn't mean to see the emails, but I did. Now I don't know how to act having to sit between them knowing they don't like me. Yet they both constantly talk to me, obviously being 2 faced. If I try to just stop talking to them, it will look like I'm causing a problem. But I just don't want to be fake and talk to them like nothing's wrong because it is. I can't go to my supervisor because I don't want her to think I was trying to snoop in her emails when I was just doing what we normally do when backing someone up. I have never felt so uncomfortable in all my life. What should I do?
