I have been at my job for almost a year & a half. there is this older lady that works with me - shes also the same status as me - who has been bullying me the last few months. She yells at me in front of fellow employees & customers. She accuses me of doing things wrong when it was other people who did it. She belittles me. Its getting very stressful to the point where i'm reduced to tears. i've taken note of the times & situations where things have happened & approached the boss about it. She said she would speak to the district manager but never has taken that step - she doesn't like to get involved in these matters. she told me that herself. so i don't think she even bothered cuz nothing has been done about it. the other day i went to work & was called into the office by the assistant manager - who is best buddies with the bully. she told me that the bully told her that i was "disrespectful" to her & told me that i should start "respecting" her. i was shocked. how could she believe the bully & not me? i tried to tell her about the situations where the bully was being hard on me & she just turned her back on me & left the room without saying anything. i don't know what to do now, i feel like quitting but i don't want the bully to win. should i contact the district manager myself or even the human resource department about this? how should i go about it? i'm so broken up about this. please help me asap!
