Hi. My department got a new supervisor. He is from a completely different department with little to no interaction with our department. He started by saying he was going to learn what we do so he can help us. That was four months ago. During that time we found he likes to curse and swear at us. A lot. He likes to make checklists and accuse us of not working. He never tries to learn our job. He sits at his desk facing the wall or goes missing for hours on end. I went to hr about the cursing and I was told it was cuz he is intimidated by not knowing our jobs. I have offered many times to sit down and help but he refuses. He sent an email out on thanksgiving day (factory job so we worked it) asking the other shifts how he can get us to do some tasks he wants done. Were not able to get them done as we had machinery issues at the end of the day. Now the production manager is gonna talk to us about this and it will not be good for us. I have a good idea the supervisor is sensationalize his stories to him. Any advice? This pm is gonna come down hard on us.
