This is the original problem from an employee...
I have been working at my place of employment for a few years. When I started I understood that my hours of work would always be less than the people who had been there longer than I have. A new employee was hired approximately 8 months ago - our manager "loves" her and often speaks highly of her and how only she can do certain jobs. My issue is that for the last few months she has been getting over double the hours I have every week to the point where I have had to get a second job. My second employer is very understanding and totally works around the schedule I have so there is absolute no conflicts. I have tried speaking to my manager about my concerns but all she says is that because I have a second job I am restricted, which I feel is just an excuse she is using so she doesn't have to give me an answer. This was happening way before I got the second job.
I am baffled on what to do next?????? Any direction would be appreciated.
