I work in an office of 5 women .My immediate manager is a lesbian who has split from her partner this year and has since struck up a close relationship with one of my work colleagues. (She is married with 2 young children). The 2 of them go out together every lunchtime and after work. The main problem is that my colleague is being allowed flexible working hours (to accommodate them being able to meet)when the rest of us are not allowed the flexibility.We also have the problem of favouritism, not being able to talk freely in case it goes back to my boss, taking up the slack on the work not being done by my colleague etc.We have told our manager we are not happy with the situation but nothing has changed. We are wary of going to our more senior manager which will then cause backlash from our manager. What is the best course to sort this please, we are getting very stressed over the situation |
