Recently there was an opening in my department. The job was something I've been training for, for the past 6 months. Only 3 of us interviewed for the position, a young man w/2 1/2 years of experience, a guy who has only been with the company for 4 months, and myself - 4 years experience with the company, and 20 years of experience in a related field. The job went to the guy who has been here for 4 months. (I trained him by the way.)
When the job posting became available, it was a requirement that you had to be with the company for 6 months, before you could apply.
I also found out that another guy, that's been with the company for over a year, was told he couldn't apply.
Is it just me, or does this all seem wrong? |
