This is the original problem from an employee...
A worker was absent on from work, the next day she brought a docters note to excuse her from being absent. I asked what was the problem she said she had an operation. The next day 15h00 she said she got a lot of pain and she feel feverish, can she go home, is said yes. Than the Friday she phoned shes not coming in because she does not feel ok of the operation.
Than during the day on Friday 'n women from the doctors office called, looking for this woman because she must still come pay her account, for consultation and a sonar. I said but she's not at work today, she not feeling nice after the operation, the lady asked me what operation, they only did a sonar and that the operation is schedule for the next week Tuesday....
So than I found out she lied to me...
Can I as her supervisor confront her? Can I give her a writing warning and keep it on file? I want her to know that I found out she lied to me. How must I handle this situation?

Of course. Do all that. Give her a warning and tell her that you are very close to firing her. Or, just fire her. Don't let dishonest people work in your company. At least... not THAT dishonest.
