I have a problem and I’m really hoping that somebody can help me with. I have been at my job for just over a year now. I really love my job. I’m good at what I do, the pay is ok, and I have benefits for the first time in my life, which is important, because my wife is expecting.
When I started my job, my supervisor used to say stuff like “now get it right or I’ll make you sorry,” or “don’t make me hurt you now”, but I thought that he was kidding or just weird. Now he’s still saying the same things even when he’s mad. So if something doesn’t work out for him, he sends me in to fix it, and he really sounds angry and threatening. I don’t know whether I’m overreacting, or if I should start to be taking these threats seriously. He sounds really dangerous when he’s yelling these things at me.
Am I just being too sensitive?
