I started with a small dental practice where the staff were all left to their own devices. My training consisted of one day induction from a lovely girl who had been employed for 4 weeks. I worked in a clinical environment,this alarmed me. I was basically left on my own. The staff had no moral then proceeded to inform me that there had been a very large turnover of 60 employees in the past two years! I thought this was hearsay at first. Needless to say one dentist would show me what to do, then the owner of the practice would then say that was wrong and I felt there were no consistent procedures to follow??..My employer continually belittled the staff,and then terminated their employment,due to personality clashes, then re-instated them.? There was a lot of confusion. I thought I was going nuts when she kept her dog in the office!!!! .I am an X civil servant,it certainly concerns me that this has been permitted in the workplace...... Where do I stand.??? |
