This is the original problem from an employee...
I have been employed by this company for sometime. There is clearly a case of too many people who think they are the boss. Anyway, about a month and a half ago I discovered my boss was downloading and sharing porn on the office computer. I couldn't believe it. I showed 2 of the other girls that work with me and we are not sure what to do. It bothers us, but we like our boss and don't want to see him fired. I did mention to a supervisor that someone was downloading porn in the office (shared computer) and they need to stop. It still hasn't. I don't know what to do. It seems like it is always there when I go on the computer and it makes me sick. The real problem is if we go over his head, we could end up getting fired too. There are a bunch of men that are really close that run this business and they just fire anybody, any time. They don't care.

Is this a large corporation? If so there are rules for this type of behavior. Code of conduct! This filth is unacceptable. Report this to HR right now. Your supervisor is aware of this and should have done that when you first brought it to his/her attention. Report this. Get away from this jerk as soon as possible. He should be fired now.

The "chain of command" can be broken. However you have stated that you "like your boss" and do not want to see him fired. It would be the respectable thing to do to go to him directly with your concern. However if there is a an imminent fear of retaliation you do have the right to surpass him and go to his superior. It would be a very poor choice of your employer to terminate you for reporting this blatant act of sexual harassment. However you need to ensure that you are keeping very specific documentation in regards to these events: Dates, times, places events occurred, details of offensive behaviors, witnesses, and etc. Also document any steps you have taken to correct the problem. If the employer were to retaliate against or terminate you for reporting such behavior you will need to present your problem to the EEOC for further investigation.
