I have been working as a registered nurse on a "bank" situation at a private care home since 2005. I work as and when I am needed.On taking up this post i was verbally informed that I was not entitled to Holiday pay, this I accepted.Since that time no other information has ever been offered regarding Holiday entitlement. Recently a friend also in the Nursing profession insisted that I should receive renumeration as it was law.
I have inquired at my workplace and have been offered 1yrs back pay for Holiday, I do not feel that this is acceptable as so many years have passed without any remuneration. Can you help please as I'm not sure where to go with this. |
